We just watched this documentary, Plastic Paradise, and it's given me a strong reason to write a blog post.
We're all fucked!
Hey kids, did you know that plastic never breaks down? Never mind that. Hey kids, you get to deal with a massive disaster your elders made for you! Plastic - this everyday material we dispose of in the garbage - fucking sucks. That's why we throw it away right? I went to the cupboard after the movie and removed the two plates and bowls that were made of plastic and set them aside in time-out for being bad.
I need to decide what I'm doing with them. I should just throw them out. Wait -- no! Very funny. Throw it out so it can end up in the Pacific ocean, float to shore somewhere or break down until a fish eats it? Now "wild caught" fish is under suspicion as well. Plastic will continue going into the ocean and making its way into our diets. We will continue to get diabetes, cancers and man boobs.
Or girl boobs, but way too early! That bottle your kid is feeding on is providing a dose of estrogen when it shouldn't be. Quick throw it away -- so that it can be everybody's problem for generations. :)

"Waaaah! But what's the rating on it?" *slaaap* Just watch it. It's good... it's not filmed horribly or too preachy and on-running like many of the sentences I type. I'm sorry I slapped you. We can change our world. Look I went through the trouble of typing this, and I want you to watch this so we have more people on the same team.
